English/Maths Academic Mentors

Salary: Grade F – Actual salary £17,529 to £19,355
Selby High School is looking to recruit Academic Mentors in English and Maths, to work with students one to one or in small groups to help them make progress in either English and Maths. Candidates will need to have the skills and knowledge to deliver at key stage 3 and GCSE level. This role will be particularly suited to candidates wishing to pursue a career in teaching in the future; Early Careers teachers looking to broaden their experience; and practising HLTAs. Candidates should already have experience in an educational setting. This role is temporary for one year in the first instance, and we will consider part time applicants.

As part of this role you will be provided with a laptop computer. Whilst the role is temporary, it is likely that further opportunities within the school will be available after the first year for the right candidate.
